Product Media

Product media might contain images and videos that help your customers understand the purpose/function/performance and size of an item. 

Product Media Description

Images: Photographs or images of your product can attract customers to immediately buy your product. Multiple photographs of a product help customers determine the exact size of the product & its utilities. Available image types are svg, png, jpg, and jpeg. The image should be of high quality & less than 1 MB. 

Videos: If your product requires caution or it is hard to operate, it is better to give a video demonstration about the product. You can insert a video URL (youtube) into your product description.

Add an Image To Your Product

Product Media Section:

1. On your site's dashboard, go to the sidebar & click on All Products (under the Products option)
2. Select the product you want to edit
3. On the Manage Product page, Scroll Down to the Product Media section
4. Hover to the Add (+) icon, select Add (+) Image icon
5. On the Media Library menu click on Add (+) icon again
6. Upload the image & fill in the Media information (Alt & File info)
7. Click Add Image 

Product Description Section:

1. On your site's dashboard, go to the sidebar & click on All Products (under the Products option)
2. Select the product you want to edit
3. On the Manage Product page, Scroll Down to the Product Description section
4. On the product description menu, click on the Image icon from the top 
5. On the Image Properties popup,  click on Add (+) icon
6. On the Media Library menu click on Add (+) icon again
7. Upload the image & fill in the Media information (Alt & File info)
8. Click Add Image 

Add Alt Text to Product Image

1. On the Manage Product page, Scroll Down to the Product Media section
2. Hover to the desired product media, click on the Edit icon 
3. On the Media Properties popup, enter Media Alt & Media Caption/Title
4. Click Save

Note: You can add Alt text to your image in the product description section by right-clicking on the image & editing Image Properties. 

Delete a Product Image

1. On the Manage Product page, Scroll Down to the Product Media section
2. Hover to the desired product media, click on the Delete icon 
3. On the Delete Media popup, click Delete 
4. Click Save

Note: You can delete an image in the product description section by simply pressing backspace after selecting the image. 

Add a Video To Your Product

Product Media Section:

1. On the Manage Product page, Scroll Down to the Product Media section
2. Hover to the Add (+) icon, select Add (+) video icon
3. Paste the Youtube/Vimeo video link & click Add
4. Click on the EYE icon to preview your video
5. Click Add & Click Save 

Product Media Description: 

1. On the Manage Product page, Scroll Down to the Product Description section
2. Select the Video icon from the product description menu.
3. Paste the Embed code or Youtube video URL (paste one)
4. Select/Unselect the checkboxes as per your requirements
5. Click Ok 

Add Alt Text to Product Video

1. On the Manage Product page, Scroll Down to the Product Media section
2. Hover to the desired product media, click on the Edit icon 
3. On the Media Properties popup, enter Media Alt & Media Caption/Title
4. Click Save

Delete a Product Video

1. On the Manage Product page, Scroll Down to the Product Media section
2. Hover to the desired product media, click on the Delete icon 
3. On the Delete Media popup, click Delete 
4. Click Save

Note: You can delete a video in the product description section by simply pressing backspace after selecting the image. 

Add Images To Product Variants 

Before adding images to a product variant, you must learn about adding a product variant to your eCommerce website. After that, follow these steps:

1. On your site's dashboard, go to the sidebar & click on Inventory (under the Products option)
2. From the inventory list, choose the product variant you want to edit (Variants of a product have the same SKUs)
3. Click on Add (+) icon & select the Image option (first one)
4. On the Media Library menu click on Add (+) icon again
5. Upload the image & fill in the Media information (Alt & File info)
6. Click Add Image 
7. Click on Save Variant 

Add Videos To Product Variants 

1. On your site's dashboard, go to the sidebar & click on Inventory (under the Products option)
2. From the inventory list, choose the product variant you want to edit (Variants of a product have the same SKUs)
3. Click on Add (+) icon & select the video option (2nd one)
4. Paste the Youtube/Vimeo video link & click Add
5. Click on the EYE icon to preview your video
6. Click Add & Click Save Variant
